It’s time to get back into sewing! I have countless ideas of what we could do. Below are 8 different projects that include details and cost. Please comment and tell me your top 4 projects you’d like to do in order.
TODDLER BACKPACKS
Cost $15
Skill level: Beginners can do this!
Skills learned: Inserting zipper, attaching velcro and/or making buttonhole
Approx time: 3 hrs
NOTE: choose from boy/girl style
WOMEN’S APRON
Cost $20
Skill level: Intermediate
Skills learned: Gathering, narrow hem
Approx time: 3 hrs
RUFFLE BAG
Cost $25
Skill level: Intermediate
Skills learned: Gathering, narrow hem, zipper pocket, cover button, attaching metal snap and using adjustable strap hardware
Approx time: 5 hrs
TEMPLE BAG (for LDS women)
Cost $25 plus you buy fabric
Skill level: Intermediate
Skills learned: Gathering, narrow hem, zipper and attaching metal snap
Approx time: 5 hrs
NOTE: These bags are amazing! They hang up when not in use or for getting clothes out of zipper in back and when in-tow they fold up in 4th’s and it carries like a bag! The hanger it hangs on is also what clothes hang on. They also have a large pocket on the front for carrying wallet, keys, phone, etc.
NURSING COVER
Cost $20
Skill level: Beginner
Skills learned: Pleating, hemming, working with bonig and attaching d-rings.
Approx time: 2 hrs
BABY CHEVRON QUILT
Cost $40 plus you buy fabrics
Skill level: Beginners can do this!
Skills learned: quilting and binding
Approx time: 3 – 2 hr classes where you do most of the quilt piecing at home. 1st class is cutting and showing you how to do the piecing, you take it home and do the rest of the top. 2nd class is putting the layers together and starting on the top stitching where you take it home and finish. 3rd class is cutting quilt to size and attaching binding.
MEI TAI BABY CARRIER
Cost $50 and includes 40+ fabrics to choose from and 4 strap colors
Skill level: Beginners can do this!
Skills learned: topstitching
Approx time: 4 hrs
